Competent authority for visa applications
All the information concerning visa applications for Belgium is available on the website of the Immigration Office of the FPS Home Affairs, which is the competent Belgian authority for access to the territory, stay, residence and removal of foreigners in Belgium.
Notice for Ukrainian biometric passport holders
Holders of Ukrainian biometric passports are exempt from a visa for short visits to Schengen countries.
For holders of non-biometric Ukrainian passports, the Schengen visa remains mandatory.
For long stays in Belgium (more than 90 days), a type-D visa for Belgium must be applied for by both biometric and non-biometric passport holders.
